Doug Barrett, JD, CCIM

Doug is a co-founder of BearRock Investments and a co-founder/managing principal of Meriwether Advisors, a Seattle based commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm.  

 

Before founding BearRock Investments and Meriwether Advisors, Doug co- founded ATREG, Inc., an advisory firm specializing in the semiconductor and advanced technology sectors. In the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Doug was a Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Services for the Seattle based commercial real estate firm, Colliers International. In this capacity, Doug managed real estate portfolios for national and multi-national corporations providing both strategic consulting and transaction execution services.

Doug’s responsibilities at BearRock Investments include investment sourcing, tenant relations, operations management, investment documentation and investor relationships.  He is directly and substantially involved in every BearRock investment.

He is a two- time recipient of the Colliers International President’s Award for outstanding client service, an award given to only one Colliers professional every two years. Doug graduated cum laude with a Distinction in Economics from Colorado College and is a CCIM designee. A licensed attorney, Doug earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law. Doug and wife Laurie raised three children and live in Issaquah, Washington.
